Post-conference field trip to North Wales
20-26 July 2013For those wishing to stay on after the Congress we are arranging a field excursion to North Wales, leaving London on 20th July and returning on 26th July.
North Wales offers a variety of exciting bryological habitats including mountain cliffs with a range of arctic-alpines, ravines rich in Atlantic species, mine sites, and coastal habitats with extensive sand dune systems. For each excursion, we will try and cater for different fitness levels.
There are two booking options for the field
excursion:
£395-All inclusive: travel, meals (breakfast lunch dinner) and accommodation.
Please note accommodation will be in small en suite hostel dormitories. OR
£175-Travel only: This option covers travel by coach to and from London and throughout the
field meeting. Participants must book own accommodation in Betws-y-Coed.
In North Wales, we will be
based at the Swallow Falls Complex, situated 2 miles from the centre of
Betws-y-Coed (http://www.betws-y-coed.co.uk/), and within the beautiful Snowdonia National Park (http://www.eryri-npa.gov.uk/home). The Complex includes a Youth Hostel, a hotel
and a campsite. For those of you who
have selected the all inclusive package, accommodation will be provided at the
hostel:

For those wishing to book
their own accommodation, we recommend the nearby Swallow Falls Hotel:

Additional
B&B/accommodation options are also available in Betws-y-Coed and we
anticipate that the coach will be able to do a pick up in the village for those
staying there. If in doubt please do get in touch with us.
